I would like to introduce you to Miss W! Her passion is gymnastics and girl guides. She describes herself as beautiful, exciting and amazing. Her favourite thing to watch on TV is the Disney channel, favourite food is pizza, her favourite outfit is leggings and a long shirt. Her favourite colour is purple and she loves to fish she also loves to spend time with her friends and family!
"My best friend is funny because she always does hilarious stuff. She is active because she is a lot of the time doing cartwheels. She is also caring because she cares if someone is hurt. One time when we were at guiding camp we had so much, we went snow shoeing, learned how to start a fire, going on a scavenger hunt and staying up late." - Payton
"My daughter has just turned 10 years old and is finding her place in this world. She is spunky and everything is written on her face. Her emotion and passion is what sparks people to want to be around her. She has found a love for fishing recently and has been so excited. She also has met some great people through fishing. She is best at seeing the beauty in her friends, relatives, coaches, leaders and teachers. She has shown me that lending a hand is important for everyday life. Her attitude is something I would never change about her." - Mom
"She comes to help out with younger classes. In particular I love how she helps the few youngest athletes figure out a skill. She is very patient with them. When I give her a set of skills to work on she goes to work right away. I can tell she is really focused. Lately this has been really obvious when I tell the kids to work on their individual routines and I can tell she is working hard because I see improvement." - Jenn
Ask yourself what are the things you've always wanted someone to say to you, but no one ever has. Ask yourself how many portraits were taken of you when you were a tween (ages 10-13). I know for myself there are not very many. Quite often when I am visiting my Mom I dig out the old photo albums and look through all the pictures of when I was little. There are many photographs of me as a baby and a child but not too many of when my siblings and I when we were in our tweens or teenage years for sure. In came the idea for the Who I Am project. This is a project for tweens to celebrate who they are and what they enjoy doing currently. This project is paired with beautiful portraits and quotes from loved ones about the tween.
