I would like to introduce you to Miss A! She is so beautiful and talented. Her passion is swimming and reading. She describes herself as athletic, intelligent and out going. Her favourite thing to watch on TV is hockey, food is shrimp and pasta, her favourite shirt is a navy plaid shirt. Her favourite colour is blue and she loves to swim, camp and hang out with her friends! She cannot live without her family, friends or her books.
"My daughter is a beautiful 12 year old girl. She is a kind and caring person. She is considerate of others feelings and will always put the well-being of others ahead of her own. She is brave and will stand up for others and for what is right. She is intelligent and always strives to be better than the last time. She will always be the first to try something new and work hard to succeed at it." - Dad
"She is a hard-working, dedicated young woman with a passion for reading, sports, and people. She is kind, compassionate, and enthusiastic. She is always willing to try new things and meet new people. She wants so badly to be 'the best' at something. What she does not see is that she is one of the best people I know. The skills she is developing right: compassion, forgiveness, strength, dedication are the backbone of who she is and who she will become." - Mom
"She is one of the most teachable and coachable kids I've worked with. She willingly accepts feedback and truly takes it to heart, using it to better herself. She is admired by her peers because of her work ethic, passion, great sense of humour and her gigantic heart. She is capable of anything she puts her mind to! Many of us could learn a great deal from kids like her." - Mrs. Moore
Ask yourself what are the things you've always wanted someone to say to you, but no one ever has. Ask yourself how many portraits were taken of you when you were a tween (ages 10-13). I know for myself there are not very many. Quite often when I am visiting my Mom I dig out the old photo albums and look through all the pictures of when I was little. There are many photographs of me as a baby and a child but not too many of when my siblings and I when we were in our tweens or teenage years for sure. In came the idea for the Who I Am project. This is a project for tweens to celebrate who they are and what they enjoy doing currently. This project is paired with beautiful portraits and quotes from loved ones about the tween.
